I'm at my studio now and experiencing similar system hangs here, where I haven't yet done the PT update. I would love to read more about the potential cause of these problems if or when anyone can provide more information.

As for Dark Mode, as I've mentioned elsewhere I work in a windowless control room and the system-wide Dark Mode has been great for my eyes. I was looking forward to Pro Tools' implementation as well but I agree that it is a little too flat and some features hare hard to distinguish.

It'd be great if they allowed you to include sends of a submix source and bounce sequentially so that you get only the processing of that submix through the aux channels or even master bus

you could obviously set this up by duplicating your master bus and sends for each sub mix but you are now processing (Master Bus + Sends) x nSubmix... in the film music world that's gonna be at least 7x the resources.
Other than the addition of pre-sets, it just looks like a re-arrangement of the layout of the bounce dialog. I do like the bounce location area better now but and far as functionality, I see no difference other than the pre-sets.

Just to make sure, the new feature "Audio to MIDI" is only available if you have Melodyne installed on your computer?

It installed with very little fuss. (Win10)
Early signs for me are that it hasn't broken the basic functionality.

Don't see any options for the hybrid engine or whatever the new thing is. Guess you have to have the new hardware.

They mentioned HDX card support of the Hybrid Playback Engine coming in 2021 during the video today. I think that's their out for not being able to get the voice count up on the HDX cards.

We've been doing Release Notes for each version since 12.0 to document enhancements and bug fixes. Check out avid.secure.force.com/pkb/articles/readme/Pro-Tools-2020-11-Release-Notes
