Default Hey Digi How about an "All Things Drums" section

We have a Guitar thread, but no love for drummers too? Come on Digi, would be nice to have a dedicated section for Strike! and to talk about drum sets and pedals and micing techniques, use of triggers, how we use software with real drums ect.. So how about it?

I don't think its a bad idea. It would be nice have a thread that could be about Strike, Other Drum VI's, Drum editing, Micing techniques etc.

Ultimately I would like to see the forum become a place that was less about troubleshooting and more about sharing idea's and techniques.

It'd be great to have a section for drums - Strike, and other VI kits. I'd love to hear from folks using Ocean Way drums, and how it's comparing to others.

I've kind of held back on this trying to sort out how I feel about it.. and decided I didn't know why.. LOL

I'll cast a vote for this too. A forum dedicated to Strike, etc.. would be a great place to trade tips specific to the topic.. and might make for some interesting discussion and feedback on future improvements.

My first go with Strike lasted about two days, then I sold it. I re bought it and have had it for a few weeks now. I'm less than impressed with it's editing capabilities and ease, but think Strike is phenominal with some of it's other features. It would be cool to see an updated version.

It would also be interesting to hear about other progs as well.

Count me in!

A vote from me too...

Speaking as a drummer, I'm more interested in micing techniques & processing acoustic drums rather than just focusing on VI/programming drums.

Speaking as a musician/songwriter, I use acoustic & virtual drums depending on what the song needs...

So yeah... an "All about drums section"... bring it on!

I'll hang on to Strike, but I've been watching Superior Drummer for the last few days. Ineed to find someone around here that has it that would let me have a little play with it.

Then to talk wifey into a TD20 kit
