Are pluggins they offer a one time cost or do you have to keep paying to use them ?
They are having a sale that ends today and have a $299 plugin for $29. I do not want to buy it and get really used to it and find out a year later to have to pay $299 to continue using it

I've never subscribed to anything (I'm allergic to subscriptions), and only buy permanent licenses and only when they're on super-sale. eg the Amek 9099 Channel for about $34 when they "list" it for $450. I've amassed quite a good collection over the years, and many of their plugins get used every day by me.
The Plugin Alliance company has their good and bad points (like every software company), but they make things pretty convenient for the user. They send endless "last day of sale" emails, but just subscribe when you first register with a permanent email account that can handle this kind of thing well. I used my gmail address.
You get multiple licenses for every plugin, but I've only used one for each - as I've put my authorizations on a USB flash drive that I treat as an alternative "iLok".
Their installer is outstanding compared to everyone else. You can select to "download and build an offline installer for only the plugins I own", unlike UA who make you install everything with every update - and then wade thru the crap you don't own or ever want manually.
Their "user reviews" are outright BS. They never post any even slightly critical reviews.

So wait for the great sales, use coupons when you can.
This gargantuan thread on "Gearslutz" will often have people giving their personal vouchers away for free, if you're quick on the ball. Warning ... The thread is a mess, 1841 pages !! (with multiple off-topic posts),

I can't see any bad points with plugin alliance..
They're the one plugin company who's subscription is very fair I reckon..

Agreed. The only one I don't grumble when the bill comes. (although Avid is also getting a pass now that they've really picked up the pace with releases and features.)

I have gotten emails pertaining to their sales. Twice now in the email they show say an item for $29 but is actually $49 and today one was $19 but actually $29. It is still a good deal but why does this happen?

Still another $29 and $79 on their site.

Yes. The codes give you access to the lower prices. Plugin alliance is cool. You can get super deals on great plugins if you choose carefully, and there are frequent sales/loyalty discounts.
