Mbox2 Balanced monitor outs - Disparity in Digidesign info?

In the Mbox2 getting stated guide (boxed with Mbox2) it states on page 35 "These outputs support balances TRS or unbalanced TS connections"

However the section on the general troubleshooting document on DUC relating to users experiencing noise on the Mbox2 states "Make sure you're using balanced cables on all balanced inputs and outputs. Remember that the Mbox 2 outputs are unbalanced, and should use unbalanced connections"

Which is correct?

The way I understand this; the Mbox2 has unbalanced outputs that support TRS balanced connectors.
