Level input - no signal

I have a signal into the box (EQ is active), however I can't get a signal into the software. I have tracks queued up and record enabled and still not seeing a signal. Any thoughts on this? Also, when I view the source signal in the Mbox software control surface app, it only shows a signal for the hardware inputs and nothing for software returns.
