Assuming you're using a good cable, into an appropriate preamp, this is a normal side-effect of using a high-gain amp (or amp emulation.)

What is a "gorund" noise? (I'm not trying to be a wise-guy, really!).

Do you mean ground, as in hiss? 3 things:

1) rotate your body & guitar so it is 90-degrees to your computer monitor, that usually helps. Or shut the monitor of during your take.

2) Get a GOOD guitar cable, short & well-shielded, it really does make a difference.

3) Put a noise gate in the signal chain, closer to the the guitar than the recorder (there is greater dynamic range before you add in all the distortion, etc., than after, so the gate works better).

Amp simulators do just that, simulate the sound of an amp. When you turn an amp up loud to overdrive it, and get distortion, you are going to get the associated noise. The amp simulator gives you the same noise. Just as my friend Tele has already said.

It's your monitor. Turn your back to it. Turn the gain down a bit and use the gate.
