Default What to do

I wonder,.... I am currently on PT 12.7
If I want to update my DAW(witch I own a fully paid licence for) , I have to pay AVID 300$
And if I pay Presonus just about 350$ I,ll get StudioOne 4
Hmmmm....
What to do?
I know presonus even offer a crossgrade discount.
Is there a cheaper way for me to update pro tools?

My 2 NOK,-

It's all about workflow and personal preference. I have yet to try a DAW that can match PT when it comes to mixing and audio editing. Adding to that, I love the simplicity in terms of layout.

MIDI - not so much. That's why I bought Logic. PT is catching up, though...

I wouldn't be willing to learn a new system for 50 bucks...or 500

If 12.7 does what you need, I doubt I would bother updating(unless there's some reason you HAVE to)

Why? Is something not working that a newer version has fixed?

I would take into consideration that learning a new Daw can take a long time.
Personally I used atleast 1 to 2 years befor getting a good workflow when I changed from Musicator to PT back in 2006.
