Thank you for providing the logs - they have been passed on to Engineering for review.

One of our moderators reported this as well.

I'm still unable to repro - tried installing 2.5.1 over 2.4.5 and 2.4.4, booted with WiFi disabled. No crash here.

We still do not have a repro case here, and so far it's isolated to these few reports. In case you have a chance, would you please create a new User Account and try booting into that?

I had issues with the previous build not updating my support and upgrade status but that has been fixed.

This new build now crashes on startup most of the time and remains listed in the Force Quit Applications list saying "Application Not Responding". When this happens, my Mac will not shut down on it's own. I have to physically hold down the power button until it shuts down completely. Obviously, I would prefer not to do this.

I've been having the exact same problem as Carlos Berrios ever since upgrading to PT 12. AAM "Unexpectedly quits" on reboot and then remains "active" in the Application Switcher/Dock and when using Force Quit either from the Apple Menu or by right-clicking its icon in the dock, it never goes away.

Also - same issue with not being able to shut down without holding down the power button.

How can Application Manager be such a weak piece of Mac software from a company who obviously has talented programmers? I get the idea of the app and would be happy to have it to run when I want to to check for any updates.

But this admittedly early version is just odd. On startup it consumes the machine for several minutes as it tries to do its thing (see screen shot below). And I had put the App Manager in my dock thinking I could choose "quit" from its own Menu Icon (not where Quit is on every other Mac app) and then be able to relaunch it occasionally to check for updates. Nope. Once quit, even though "helper" never quits, I can't get App Manager to relaunch and connect. Only restarting brings it back to life. And even then sometimes it's forgotten my login info.

Like EVERY OTHER Mac app I think there should be user adjustable preferences including the choice of launching at startup.

Instead of editing the plist to stop auto-launch I simply removed both App and Helper plists.

I wouldn't mind having a working version of this thing if they could redesign it as a proper Mac app...

same here.
It felt to start every time. I can't quit it completely, and it blocks the force quit.
And I can not delete it, because "it is open", but it's not ! It is not visible in the menu bar, only in the dock as a open program.

Please Avid, THIS is not a working program for the public, WE are not beta testers ! I will and have to work with that software, why I have to sit here and spend the time to write this, ... ?

-- FIX IT !!!!!

bug report can't attached, it is too long !
