Help my MIDI has fallen and it can't get up!!!

Greetings from the desert. I have my midi keyboards in after a long hiatus (studio remodel) now I am at a loss for ideas to get them working again. i.e. DB33 insert I am trying to use M-Audio Keystation 49. I can see that the midi is sending because I can see the note names next to the main counter and I can select Keystation as instrument input. But individual tracks NOTHING! What am I missing? Did something change? Thanks for your help saving me from insanity...

System details? Have you set up the M-Audio in Pro Tools>setup>Midi>Midi Studio?

Thanks Dave! Yes the keyboards show in the Midi studio just as they did before. They work on stand alone EZ Keys BTW. iMac i7 latest OS.

could it be that the Midi assignment on your instrument / midi track is not there ??

you know the bug when you close a session and then the midi assignment is gone .. you have to Show Instrument in Edit or Mix window and see what the assignment says ..

if not that, what about a straight midi track .. any midi input there ??

Is MIDI Thru checked off in the Options menu?
