Default So, how do YOU scroll?

Hi DUCers,

simple question:
What's your quickest way for scrolling? I use the shift-scroll wheel, but are there any other shortcuts for moving around a song?

Regards,

Andy

I have a logitec G5 mouse with side scrolling. I also use shift + scroll, and even the occational drag the scroll bar with the mouse.
On the Mac the tiny ball scroller is a treat (too bad the mouse itself is kinda crap)

PT8 has the universe at the top of the edit window that can get you all over the place quickly.

Yes, especially with the slow scrolling in PT8.

Conspiracy alert! Digidesign deliberately slowed the scrolling down so you would use the Universe Function and comment on how cool it was. They are NEVER going to fix the scrolling if everyone tells them how much they like the Universe Function!

Cheers,

I use the scroll wheel with modifiers.

I hate the universe window too.

I set up one of the thumb buttons on my Logitech MX Revolution to be shift, so I hold that and scroll that way.
Before that I'd hold shift with my left hand which is usually anchored around there when editing.

On the subject of scrolling, it's needed an overhaul for eons. More specifically the zooming and zoom centering. The PT zoom centering is fixed to operate at center of view. It would be great to have Preference options for "track under mouse cursor" for Vertical zoom center and " under mouse cursor" for Horizontal zoom center".
