Avid S3 long SEL press to enable Trim an option for

I know a previous user mentioned this idea... but just bringing it up again in case this would be a feasible more easily achieved feature for the next official release or so forth... having the ability to access trim functionality directly from the S3|Artist Series etc by having a long press of the SEL button for a specific channel to initiate trim mode with then that channel flashing yellowing or maintaining yellow/goldish color to correspond to the trim line color.

Obviously this is easily done via the Dock which is great... but would be awesome to access easily and innately via the S3 and Artist Series without having to initiate eucon softkey commands. Anything in my mind that can be done out of the box that adds usefulness is always a big win in my mind as a lot of people don't mess about as much with custom eucon mappings since it's a little more cumbersome to update or evolve.
