C8 not co-operating with rewired Live
Got a weird one:
PT 6.9.2cs4 Ableton Live 5.0.2 and Command 8... When Live is rewired to PT my Command 8 controls both Tools and Live - not in a good way! This is in any session with Live rewired in ( I also have Reason rewired in but doesn't have any impact if I disable it). PT operates correctly but when I move fader 1 on the Command 8 both Track 1 level in PT and Track 1 PAN in Live move. The pan doesn't even move smoothly in Live. The same goes for the rest of the faders... What's more, the Stop button is stop in PT but solo Track 2 in Live. Very annoying. I have no midi mapped in Live (and when I try to map it with PT open the number increments the parameter receives are in the following order: 1/0, 1/56, 1/40, 1/0, 1/24 as an example of the first few fader increments), the Command 8 midi ports are disabled in Live, I am not in standalone mode, (but if I do go into standalone mode the Live parameter picks up the correct midi note). When I try to return to non-standalone mode PT crashes if the PT window is not foremost. Every time. The rec button on Track 1 in Live also constantly flashes. I have swapped USB cables from the C8... And I just trashed all prefs for Live, and all Digi prefs and it's come right again. Sorry to take your time...
