PC as Softsampler Mac as PTLE

Hey kids,

Just soliciting input from everyone about something I may try. I recently switched from PC to Mac to run my 001. I'm soon to be in the market for software drums (DFH,BFD, or the like) as well as software piano/strings/B3.

Reason, Ableton, and the like don't really meet my needs, as I need more "acoustic" sounding instruments. So input on programs and sound libraries much needed...

Also, I am considering using my old PC (which is pretty slammin') as the host for these programs. This would eliminate any stress on my Mac and I could merely sequence in the PC environment with my keyboard and then dump audio in to PT.

Am I nuts?

Any thoughts, flames, whatever...bring it!
