Default Music Production Toolkit installation

Hey all,

I just bought a used copy of the MP toolkit, and it came with an iLok with the licenses on it. I'm running PTLE 7.3 with a 002r. What's the best way to install the package? I've never used an iLok before. Any help is appreciated. Thanks,

C

Following the instructions that came with it is always a good start.

Seriously though, where is your concern? The instructions are pretty straightforward (at least IMHO).

Okay.

Well I didn't know if there was an order in which I should install the various plugs, etc. It comes with 6 discs. The one looks like plugs, 2 are impulse responses, 2 are PT M-powered discs, and 1 is a PTLE 7.1 update CD (I assume this is where Smack and the 48 track option are?) Plus, I'm already running 7.3, so I didn't know if using a 7.1 update disc would be an issue. Also, wasn't sure if the iLok registration would be different since it's already been registered once. Sorry, stupid question.

If you have intelMac, I think you have to download updates for plugins from digidesign website. Obiously you don't need any protools installers and it doesn't matter which one you install first. Just install the plugins and plug ilok and you're ready to go. If I remember right, MP3 option must be authorized with a code but all the others should work with ilok
