FWIW, I'm having the same "screen not remembering to maximize problem" over on the PT LE side, too. And just like you guys, it was working in 6.X.

Thought I'd try your little launcher and see if it would help. It mounts PT just fine but doesn't do a thing to maximize my PT desktop across both displays.

It seems us LE users are paying to be beta testers also......

I forgot to mention my specs...

I have a Radeon 7000 series card with a monitor extension cable attached.

I think I have a bug in my PC (not PT7).

I might even have a RAM issue. I'm going solve this before the weekend is through.

Sorry I can't help with dual display configurations -I only have a single LCD.

I'm going to try a higher resolution setting also (I often have it set kinda low).

Default Re: PT7 Splash Takes Too Long To Appear

I'm replying to my own post but..

I think the strange waveform color shading I was experiencing was due to an old video card I had installed (I needed to import some analogue video into my workstation). I'm glad my new digital cam has some analogue conversion features and the fact that I think this solved my issue. I also reset my BIOS to its default settings and things are running like dream now.

Hi All,
I think I found a good one. When using waves version 5 audio suite plug ins when you try and change a control on the plug in, it stops the preview. So, you can't tweak a control and listen to what you're doing. It seems like the focus of windows changes from PT to the plug in when you touch the plug in window, there for, stopping the AS preview. I'm using version 5 and waves shell 5.
Peace,
Brandon

Hi All,
I found another one. Sometimes when I select more then one region and pull down the volume automation line, the numeric volume value is not displayed correctly. I pulled down a couple of VO lines that I know where -1.5 dB down and the value showed both 0.0dB in level and relative change. It should have displayed -1.5 dB for level and 0.0 for relative change. Not a big deal but it took me a couple of minutes for confirm the VO was at the correct level.
Peace,
Brandon

Try the new version of HD Startup I just posted... it'll maximize the Pro Tools window for you (within 3 secs of the splash going bye bye). Read the .txt file for instructions to disable the maximize.

Also try - instead of using the maximize button -- actually stretch your windows to the size that you want them (even to encase the whole screen as if it were maximized)... does that help?

Rail
Ahh- will try.
Without sing your utility, the PT window is maximized (on monitor A, not across both...this is not possible...yet?). Since I have the default un-maximized state at stretched across both monitors fully, clicking the max/restore button will simply revert it to the stretched across both state.

I will down, lload the latest of your utility and follow destructions to have do this...

Default Double Cursor

Copied from another thread..

For those who may see a double cursor, Rail offered this solution:

Quote:
In the control panel, go to Display, Settings, Advanced, Troubleshoot.

Set the hardware acceleration slider to one setting below Full.

Rail

Users have reported success utilizing this workaround/solution.

Rail,

While youre contributions to the community (and my personal HD problems) are numerous and very much appreciated. I'm going to hold off on using your app because I think that DIGI should address this issue.

PT remembered my window sizes in 6.7 and 6.9. there is NO reason it shouldnt work in 7.

Thanks,
Aaron

I doubt they won't fix it because I wrote a stop gap fix.

Remembering your screen settings just Does NOT work.
No matter how much regedit you do. I want it to start
NOT maximized, but stretched accross both of my Cinema Displays.
Sheesh Digi,
How did you not catch this? Surely, you guys were testing on dual monitor systems...
Adrian
