Xserve on OS 9
Anyone has tried to run an Xserve on OS 9? It is just the perfect Mac for portable recording... good hot-swappable HD space, 1U rackmount, PCI slots, fast processors, etc....
But... the literature seems to suggest it won't boot up in OS 9, and since it seems it will be a while before we see Pro Tools OSX, I wonder if the Xserve would run on OS 9. And if you have access to one of them, how noisy are they? Thanks, Mauro. |

Re: Xserve on OS 9
If the literature suggests it won't boot in OS 9, I think that is good indication that it won't boot in OS 9.

Yeah I was thinking the samething before I saw one. Portable!? Hell no. Yeah its 1U but about 2.5 feet deep and heavy. How quiet are they? What? Huh? I can't hear you over the xServer.
