Xserve on OS 9

Anyone has tried to run an Xserve on OS 9? It is just the perfect Mac for portable recording... good hot-swappable HD space, 1U rackmount, PCI slots, fast processors, etc....

But... the literature seems to suggest it won't boot up in OS 9, and since it seems it will be a while before we see Pro Tools OSX, I wonder if the Xserve would run on OS 9.

And if you have access to one of them, how noisy are they?

If the literature suggests it won't boot in OS 9, I think that is good indication that it won't boot in OS 9.

Yeah I was thinking the samething before I saw one. Portable!? Hell no. Yeah its 1U but about 2.5 feet deep and heavy. How quiet are they? What? Huh? I can't hear you over the xServer.
