Slate Digital AAX-DSP?

Honestly, it seems to me that Slate is a very unreliable company. I'd go so far as to say that Steven seems to lack integrity, falling so far behind on keeping his word. I have been uninterested in even considering any of their plugins, given how long this AAX transition has taken, as well as the noncommittal response about DSP (not that I use DSP).

Are the plugs really so great that it's worth dealing with a company that seems not to value keeping its word?

I did buy RC-Tube a while back, when I was on PT10 (and it came with a free iLok2), and it was ok, but it's still not on AAX, so honestly I've forgotten what it sounded like and found other things I like (McDSP Analog Channel, SoundToys Decapitator & Radiator, etc).

I'll stick with other great, reliable companies like McDSP, SoundToys, Valhalla, Phoenix, and yes, even Waves.

Yes. If the AAX code was already written in 2011 it's difficult to understand the delay. All we have asked for is the original algos in AAX form.

Steven is a fun guy, but...

Oh well, he says this month, so we'll see.

Dear FG-X and VCC Slate Customer,

...VCC 2.0... early January.

FG-X 2.0 is a more difficult situation, ...But, the programmer(ONLY ONE?) that I've assigned to this task is one of the brightest in the industry ...I'll find out by next week if this intermediate solution will be possible and will let you know the outcome.

...FG-X LEVEL algo should be done in the next 30 days so the official 2.0 version isn't light years away. But until I have the final prototype on my rig, I'd rather not promise any speculative release periods just yet....
