Keyboard stops functioning

Occasionally when trying to save, save as.. or any other kind of typing in Pro Tools, nothing happens. Mouse is working normally and when switching to finder for excample, keyboard works normally. After restarting PT all is ok. Happens several times per day.

PT 7.2, HD, d-commdand.

I've had this a lot also in 7.1. Keyboard stops working in all windows that access the outside world ie save, save as,bounce to disk, etc. Usually presages a crash.

I've had this too, it appeared with 7.2. Also with 7.2, the playback engine dialog sometimes doesn't respond after you have made changes... But repeatedly hitting enter usually closes it, the mouse doesn't help.

Yes, i've experienced the same in 7.2 and it can result in a crash!

Might be related to the right click command... entering text bug, which causes random quits at the moment.

Experienced the same thing after upping the number of voices from 48 (1 DSP) to 96 (2 DSPs). This caused the keyboard "lockout".

By any chance had any of you dragged audio content into the timeline or reigon list ?

I simply needed more voices available.

i have a feeling it might be 10.4.7 causing the keyboard drop-outs. happens to me at least once a week in various applications. i have the macbook 2.0ghz.
