Yes, I think it's a very cool tool. I would never use it as a literal mic changer but it's a great way to change the texture or feel of a track without using eq.

I've even found it has solved that annoying hi-mids ringing sound I hear in some sax tracks.

And I got it free with Jam Points.

I got it with jam points also. Tried on a couple of things - to me it was "Meh".

I have it. It's limited by its microphone selection in a sense. it's a good selection they offer, but the limited Input mic selection makes it really hard to match it up with the multitudes of other mics not offered.

I do like the saturation and the proximity features.

I would also like to see a Through option for the Input, in those instances we might like to try applying it on plugins.

You nailed it! I think it has enough quality and more versatility than more expensive virtual mic systems, especially for the price, but it needs to be updated (IK should listen to the users more often).

Dude... I just discovered the latest version of Mic Room that comes with T-RackS 5 has had a few additions to it's list of microphones.

http://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/trmicroom/

Sure it has a rather nice selection of mics already (half way down the page) What isn't mentioned, though, is it now features the ARC MEMS Mic.

http://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/arc2/

How this is important, is that it happens to be a quite accurate mic used for taking room measurements with IK's ARC. Okay, so as a mic to emulate it will most likely be dull and boring, what is exciting about it, however, is that we can pretty much use it as a "flat response" or a "through" mic on the way into Mic Room.

It won't be perfectly flat, but it should be close enough to get what we want out of Mic Room.
