2.8.1 Standalone Won't Install/Run

I just changed laptops and now am running 64-bit Windows 7 Pro under Fusion. I was having a little bit of trouble getting the standalone to work. Solution that worked was to change the compatibility mode to XP Service Pack 2.

I found a fix.. Look at second page of this forum under pointblankmusic... I posted instructions for several different computer configs.. Check it out and let me know if this fixes your issues..

Nice job with the fix.

I had the exact same error on a dell computer and on another self-built computer. Each computer is running WinXP 32-bit SP3. After following your instructions starting with section 1a, I was able to load the software. I am very PC savvy in general, and pride myself on finding fixes to the most random of errors. +1 for you.

I had same problem with Parallels 5. Before instaling Venue standalone software put Mac OSX instalation DVD into CD-DVD ROM. Parallels will instal some drivers and when finished you will see in bottom corner little BootCamp logo.
Now you are ready for D-show standalone software instal.

When i installed the Venue D-show system, always happened an error.

This error was similar to this other

I try unistalling many times and intalling again, but it not worked.

This error persisted many times, until I downloaded the Microsoft Windows Automatic Updates. I downloaded all abailable. (not internet explorer and similar).

After download i can run the D Show Software without problems.

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L300 SP5801 with XP SP3.
