midi with roland keyboard
i cant seem to get any communication
between my groovesynth and protools. ive heard of midi problems with roland keyboards. any advice. thanks |

I'm using an old D50 with PTLE and I'm haven't any problem. I use the 001 Midi interface too.
What kind of Roland are you using? And What interface? Do you mix-monitorize it again in PT or are u using external mixing-monitoring? I use to plug my the D50 audio output to the digi 001 and then I can mix it inside PT trough an Aux Input. In this way I can add reverb, plug-ins, etc

Do you have local on/off on the keyboard set correctly?
Do you have the midi channels on the keyboard set up properly? In both cases, you won't hear anything until they're set right. Hope this helps. [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img] |
