"scanning program memory" freeze!

When I first saw protools free my reaction was one of [img]images/icons/shocked.gif[/img] and general excitement. After trying to get it to work though I am feeling a little [img]images/icons/frown.gif[/img]. As many others have experienced I try to run Protools only to have my system freeze at the "scanning program memory" stage. I have to hit the reset button and try again. I have never even had the joy of seeing the GUI. I have a PentiumII 350, 192mb of ram and a soundblaster live! value card. Any help with this problem would be awsome.

I have the same problem
I use a PIII 500
asus p3BF motherboard
Cristal sound card
motorola modem
3dfx 3D aceleretor video card

Uninstall -> delete the Programm/Digidesign directory -> delete the Shared Folder/Digidesign directory -> reinstall

This worked for me.
