Default Adding a Subwoofer

I want to add a subwoofer to my monitor system, but I was wondering does anyone make a sub with a bypass switch? I haven't seen one yet. A sub would definitely improve my mixes, but I don't need it all the time. Also, I'm currently using the Event ASP8 monitors. Any recommendations on which sub I should go with?

You most likely need a monitoring device like the Presonus Central Station. Something like that allows you to de-select the subwoofer from the monitor path. Also allows you to have 2 sets of speakers as well. Very handy.
