HDX interfaces locked
I have a weird thing happening since I attempted to install the Antares wibu codemeter update thing.
Since the update, the Mac instantly locks the I/Os when it boots. As soon as the OS loads, I hear the click and the I/Os are locked in. When Pro Tools starts, sometimes it can't find the hardware...other times the interfaces click 5 or 6 times rapidly where Pro Tools and the OS are fighting for control over them. When that happens, Pro Tools ultimately wins, but that can't be good for the I/O. I have the OS assigned to "built in speaker" as the output, but that patch from Antares has deleted any input device from the OS. Avid hardware is the only input device the computer sees. Is there a way to simulate an input device on the computer so it will leave the I/O available for Pro Tools?
