Re: LE Plugin Delay Compensation (Monthly Request Pt. 3)
That's the problem then. No one can read the note stamped on their own forehead. Everyone thinks someone else is working on this since all they see is someone else with it on their foreheads.

Re: LE Plugin Delay Compensation (Monthly Request Pt. 3)
Yeah, Logic 9 definitely seems like a viable option... It now has pretty much all of the functions of PT HD, and actually more... It's only a matter or learning new keyboard shortcuts and we'll see a lot of PT users make the switch...

Re: LE Plugin Delay Compensation (Monthly Request Pt. 3)
Well, while this would have been the perfect solution, the "US protools compatible" is far from being close to the actual protools shortcuts. better off learning the logic shortcuts...

At least Logic offers remappable key commands! Anyway if I offered to paypal any and all of you $1500 (price of CPTK minus price of Logic 9) if you upload a video proving you know the Logic key commands I imagine I'd have videos from all of you by the weekend. |

Re: LE Plugin Delay Compensation (Monthly Request Pt. 3)
Although I agree that adc is a must asap, I must confess that I have tried logic, and really tried to love it very hard. Tried numerous times, but given up.
This the reason why many of us still bithing here. Because regardless of the faults in digi or pro tools, it is still superior to logic imho. At least this is what I and many of my engineer fellows feel. Still, of course, we need ADC! Tamas Dragon

Logic has a fantastic feature set but it's just a PIA when it comes to some heavy duty editing.

Re: LE Plugin Delay Compensation (Monthly Request Pt. 3)
That's what I've been thinking too for... So the answer...? Track and edit in ProTools, then when it's mixing time, consolidate all files from start of session, clean up all unused files, import your audio folder into Logic, and mix away...
Seems a bit of a pain but hey: big problems in protools = big measures to get around them... hehehe

Re: LE Plugin Delay Compensation (Monthly Request Pt. 3)
Funny it's the silly 18 io limit that leads me to tracking in Logic when doing whole bands.
So where are Logic's weaknesses with editing? Fades are often easier with logic...especially eg on tom hits. Their design for elastic audio/beat detective is far more elegant than "the original." Their MIDI editor is obviously more mature. What sucks? |
