Just swapped out the Micro for a regular MBox 2 still no luck. It has got to be the new i7 chip. I have to Force Quit Pro Tools Every time I launch it. Thank God I have a HD System. What am I missing?
Is there anyone out there with a regular Mbox 2 USB Got it working?

Try using the USB port closest to the Firewire port. This has been a problem for i5 and i7 based iMacs and Macbook Pros.

Although they are new machines, as the problems are well known (like the usb port thingy), Avid should at least make a sticty about these machines.

Why the qualification process is so slow these days anyway?

Thumbs down Re: Intel Core i7

No go with the USB trick. I get to the Validate part and I can't even put in the PT8 code. I have to force quit. My whole weekend was doing uninstalls and redoing the computer. I exchanged the mini for the reg MBox 2. This is garbage!!!!!!

I had to go and buy a Mbox 2 Pro. Everything works now. So if you have a USB Mbox 2 you are screwed
