Default Furman HDS question

Hey, I know this has been asked before but I couldn't find the post. With the Furman Hds/Hr6 system can you use a network hub of some type? I believe the answer was you had to use some special hub, but I can't remember. Inteldoc, I think you were in on it?

You have to use the Furman hub/splitter.

(Note this isn't an endorsement of the company in the link.. simply the first Google entry listed in a search).

Any passive straight-thru (pin 1 to pin 1) hub (or network patchpanel) will do. You'll need to set up 2 of them though, one for the blue cables and one for the greys. I think all of this is discussed in detail in the manual for the HDS-6 system (some active ones work, but it's kind of hit and miss, sometimes require changing internal settings, and often lose those settings with power losses...passive's the way to go with this).
