Default Audio Interface for PT10 / Mac OS 10.8 ???

Need suggestions on an USB Audio Interface. Would like 2 different monitor outs and Midi in/out but most important the compatibility with Pro Tools 10 and iMac OS 10.8.5

Anyone with this set up, I'm interested in your feedback.
Thanks

Expensive, but look at RME. Rock solid drivers on Mac or PC.

Ditto on RME, but I doubt you will get 2 sets of monitor outs(assuming you want to be able to switch between 2 sets of speakers). After having a Presonus Central Station in my setup(for about 10 years now), I will never NOT have a separate monitor/source switcher(it allows for way more than just switching 2 sets of speakers) After RME, my choice would be a used 003(but that would require firewire or TB to fw adapter cable)

Many thanks for the feedback. Looking into the RME now.
The monitor switching is very much preferred but now a deal breaker.

I currently run my hard drive off of the firewire so I only have the USB open.

Curious are you just doing midi recording or also using analog channels?

@ALBEE
You posted that you use the 44VSL. What's your review on it?

Not much to go on there. How about things like how many mic preamps, how many line ins. ADAT/SMUX or S/PDIF inputs or outputs etc. How may headphone outputs (separate of combo with monitor outs)? You want hardware monitoring? And very useful: your budget.

MIDI In/Out is a very un-important thing to worry about, it's easy to add with outboard MIDI boxes.

Many thanks to all that took the time to contribute. I ended up going with the MOTU TRACK 16.

The 44VSL worked well enough, but I think you made a better choice
