May be a stupid question but...
If I load a MP3 file into PT, is there a way to increase or decrease the volumn of the file witout having to bounce the file again? Seems like a lot of work just to alter the volumn on a MP3.

Re: May be a stupid question but...
Elton,
Yes there is. Use an Audiosuite plug-in to increase the gain or compress it then select it in the regions list (on the right of the Edit screen) and choose "Export Regions as Files" to your location and format of choice. Greg |

Re: May be a stupid question but...
OK I can use my compressor on the audio track. I tried this earlier but wasn't sure if it worked or if I needed to put the compressor on another track. I'll give it a go. Thx

Re: May be a stupid question but...
You might want to try the Trim plugin...

Re: May be a stupid question but...
Hmmmm Don't see the trim plugin. Would that be on the main menu under the audiosuite?

Re: May be a stupid question but...
Trim is RTAS.
For Audiosuite processing, use the Gain plugin (as Greg mentioned in the first reply ).

Re: May be a stupid question but...
I tried the compressor plugin under audio suite instead of accessing it on the INSERTS bar on the track. I then previewed it and it works that way. I wonder why it wont work accessing the plugi vua the mix window?

Re: May be a stupid question but...
OK gang. I got it. Thanks a bunch. It works using the gain function but I was just trying to access it in the wrong spot. Cheers!
