Default Simple for you upgrade?

I have a brand new PC and Digi 002 with 2 installation CDs. One is Pro Tools 6.1.1 and the other is 6.9 which I just learned that it's the update. Do I need to 1st install 6.1.1 and then upgrade to 6.9? I also down loaded 7.0 but I don't know if I have to follow from oldest to 7.0. Please help.

Thank you

If you have the 7.0 installation (and the code necessary to make it work), all you need to do is run that. You do not need to load the older ones, and it's probably better if you don't.

I believe the unit has to be on during the install.

Digi recommends to turn it on before you turn on your system. I've found this isn't a problem during installation, but it's a habit you should get into in general. Power strips->AD/DA->Digi->DAW.
