Q650/601/66 upgrade card and PT..THE SEQUEL

Ok ..for you folks who remember this from the LAST MIllENIUM :->.......

As you may recall all sorts of advice was given by all sorts of people :->

Just to recapitulate...

Quadra 650 with 601/66 upgrade, Session 8 card,PT 4.1.1 , dae 3.1.1. The error that came up was * DAE memory too low..please increase*
No new session would open, nor would any other.

Ok...i had tried everything (you don't wanna know ;-> ) but still this error occurred.

The FIX...simply loaded 4.01 and it all worked..well....

Why does every other piece of software think that this computer is a PPC but Pro Tools does not ?????? It thinks its a 68040 Q650

OK...so i'll have to buy an 8100/100 in the near future...but now....

It records ok ..but everytime i try to use a plug..even an innocuos one like normalize...it crashes very badly with error 2 (always error 2)even if the region selected is only 2 seconds....

HELP....I don't understand...:-<
