Yes indeed, it has happened to me. I hate to give( and especially hear) advice after the fact, but if you can remember to label your tracks before you start recording, at least you can do a search to find that sucker. It's really hard to find 'Audio04_L.' amongst all your/my sessions.

when i first got the 001 i had a session lose all the session data, but not the actual audio. the song was really comming out well too. it was full of little edits and beat slicing so recreating it was out of the question. it was a let down. I think it was my fault though, as i was playing with a bunch of menus and other stuff with the session open and i probably screwed something up.

i think pt adds a header to the file so it can identify it even though it has the same name as other files. i think i saw it on a digi dvd.

Yes, once I renamed my audio files and after that
PT couldn't find it anymore. But lucky every
audio file has it own unique ID number so when
PT can not find it by name there is an option
to let PT search by ID number. It's a roundabout
way to rename the audio files so now I
name the track before recording ( like Roy said).

Default Ever lose a random track/file?

I opened a session and it said it couldn't find a file. As far as I know the machine lost it and I didn't do anything. Has this ever happened to you?
