Default wah!!! I want my mommy - pt tells me too slow!!!!

So I am getting an error message that sez - "Can't get audio from disk fast enough you bozo"

Ok so that's my version of the error message at least - I just installed a new 160 gb Seagate SATA drive and moved all of my audio files (not the applications just the actual audio files) to this drive (F:) - I'm befuddled... the disk ought to be fine - brand new... I was getting this error before when both Pro Tools and audio were on D: drive - Alas! Mein Pro Tools ist kaputt..

Wouldn't it just suck if your new drive was incompatable
Make sure your DAE hardware buffers are set to default (2).
If it is, play with one higher or one lower setting.

uh yeah it would kinda suck but really I've come to expect just about anything evil from PT these days. I have Seagate Barracudas all around for a total of 6 hard drives ranging from 120gb.-160 gb.

If Pro Tools has a problem with Barracuda drives, I swear to god almighty I'm taking Pro Tools off my system and throwing my MBOX at my sales guy's face. Even if he IS a friend of mine.

In any case - the problem was happenning BEFORE I put in the SATA drive...

and yes buffers are at 2 - I'll try going one higher and one lower...

For whatever reason putting the buffers at 4 eliminated the problem - So now someone please explain this to me - pretty please?
