How many live tracks without crashing system?
I am currently a Mac user interested in buying a PC laptop to run live recording via a Digi 002R. I was wondering if anyone has recorded on a laptop/Digi 002 using all 18 tracks (8 analog, 8 ADAT, 2 SPDIF) in a live setting and what type of system they run. Also if there were any "hiccups" or crashes while recording. I am real comfortable with the Mac platform but PC laptops are becoming so affordable. I hear AMD/Pentium processors seem to work best-is RAM still a big consideration with PC's as with Macs? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanx! |
