Default MAC & 002/003 Compare HELP

I'm a TDM system user but am buying an LE system for home. I need some MAC help and system help. I've read all the DIGI comparisons between the 002 and 003 gear but I need a users opinion of the difference between the 2. I own an uninstalled 002 system so I haven't worked on it yet, but may purchase the 003 if it's worth it.

Also, I'm a PC user but will be purchasing a MAC to run this system. I'm used to maxing out a PC for performance, but how "loaded" do I need a MAC to be? Is there a huge difference between the 2.66 chipset and the 3.0 chipset? And, how much RAM do you guys recommend?

Thanks to all in advance...
