Default Create a playlist from a loop already recorded

Hi all

I had to rebuild and reinstall, and after doing that forgot to check the magic box "automatically create new playlists when loop recording". I then spent a day recording takes using loop recording, with this box not ticked.

Now I've come to the comping bit and I've realised there are no playlists there.

Does anyone know how I can get Pro Tools to generate its playlists from these takes?

I know one option is to manually create them, by using the Trim tool to extend the audio file and cut it up manually and drag them into the playlists. HOWEVER, it's a multi-bpm session, so if I use the trim tool to get access to the other takes, they will no longer be accurately snapped to the grid.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Dicky

I would :
select the clip on the recording track, which might be something like audio_01-05
open cliplist to see this selected clip
recheck timeline drop order : from top to bottom
make 4 new tracks or playlists on the recording track
in cliplist select the 4 other ones (audio_01-01, audio_01-02, audio_01-03, audio_01-04)
start-drag those onto the new tracks/playlists (while audio_01-05 is still selected in the edit window)

alternatively :
select the clip , right-click , match alternates , expand alternates to new playlists (tracks)
(but : lots to do to clean up all the new playlists/tracks and move the alternates on less playlists/tracks)
