Default PTU 2019.12 update image file corrupt??
Hi all,
Just trying to d/load and install the (MacOS) 19.12 update and keep getting the message....

“Pro_Tools_2019.12.0_Mac.dmg” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Bin.

Tried on three seperate machines now. Any ideas??

Yeah it’s worth trying a different browser just in case.

I didn’t have any issue downloading it. Honestly can’t remember which browser I used though. I have both Chrome and Safari but tend to use the latter more.

How strange. Don’t really know what else to suggest.

Actually, do you have Pacifist? It allows you to open disk images and extract files without going through the install. I think there’s a timed demo. Might be worth seeing if the images are actually damaged or if there’s something else at play.

Have you had any issues with any other downloads in general or from the AVID site?

Someone else just recently had a similar issue with the .dmg downloaded on a Mac and ended up going to a Windows machine and downloading the .dmg file there. See this thread: http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?p...79#post2549879

Mmm, I haven't typically had issues like this with AVID downloads in the past.

Assuming dud download was from your Avid account - did you also try updating 2019.10 to 2019.12 from Avid Link?
