Default XPAND and MIDI keyboard, please help!

Hi everyone. I have a Digi002 Rack/LE 7.3.1. I've been going through the manual about using MIDI and XPAND, and its bunch of great useful information. However, it doesn't say anything about how to set up your MIDI keyboard with the program initially. I'm using an M-Audio Keystation 88. Is anyone willing to tell me where to put the MIDI cable (ex: Keyboard IN > 002 OUT..etc) and also what to click in which menu so that it works? Thank you very much in advance, I really appreciate it!!

Hello,

Just connect the keyboard to the computer via usb, create an instrument track and put Xpand on it. No MIDI cable is required.

Cheers

Thanks gruddlebug. The problem seems to be after I put XPAND on an inst track. I press the keys and nothing happens. I tried recording with a MIDI track and blue dots do appear so the keyboard is communicating with the software, and the virtual tiny keybord is making sounds with XPAND and the mouseclicks. Its just the instrument track with XPAND plus my Keyboard thats the issue. I'm pretty sure its the instrument or i/o of the track that I'm not doing right. Does this make sense? Thanks very much again.

+1

Also check in the preferences that MIDI thru follows record track. There's a bug in 7.3 that can cause this issue.
