Sorry Allen, I meant that I was going to use the original Allenstein case, and that I was going to place that in a Silence Case

I hope that makes more sense. Sorry for the confusion.

Hey Hiwatt, don't you think that even at six people complaining about the same defects is enough?
It is for me, I don't want to build something and have a headache with too much downtime.
Thats why I asked allen since he has more expertise in this.

Thanks, Eric M.

Hello. This is my first post. Since a few weeks I am the owner of a 002 rack and a command 8. Friday I got my new computer with widows XP sp2 installed. I installed PTLE 6.4 with cs9 and when I launch PT, I get a blue screen. My question; I use the one board fire wire of the ASUS K8V Deluxe. Could this be the problem? Is there someone who has an idea what the problem could be?

Sorry again Allen, I got so excited about building the new DAW that I overlooked (or just did not pay attention) no more coffee for me today! to the note you have about the FX-53 processor. Actually, I want to wait for the new Mobo and try building my new Allenstein DAW with the FX-55. This will make me wait until that new Mobo is out, but I think it will be worth the wait. Yes?

Thanks again,

Studiemiel, welcome to the DUC. You are posting in the wrong thread, essentially what we call "thread stealing"; generally frowned apon.
Sounds like you need to do the DEP fix. Check the SP2 compatibility thread there are details in there.

Thanks Ill will check it out. But I saw that Allen wrote in this treat about the K8V MOBO so maybe he can tell me if I can use the onboard fire wire.

Allen, quick question. I am thinking on building a new computer with your specs and the Asus k8v MB has a bad rep. Have anyone on this group have any problems with it?
I saw all the negatives on Newegg.

Thank, Eric M.
Eric,
The K8V has been one of the best we have used for PTLE yet. There are many in use here and no lemons.

Allen

You just need to reinstall XP with SP1 only or do that new fix everyone is talking about. I haven't done it yet nor do I plan to. Just use XP with SP1. If you have a friend that has one you can use your registration number for it.
