Here's my configuration:

A7V8X MOBO
Athlon XP2200+ clocked at 1850Mhz
512MByte 400Mhz RDRAM
Maxtor 80G 7200 RPM system drive (ide)
WDC 120G 7200 RPM audio drive (ide)
GeForce 2 video adapter
DIGI 001 sharing IRQ16 with video adapter and modem
DirectPro 24/96 sharing IRQ17 with firewire & SCSI controllers
BIOS defaults except power management
Basic tweaks to operating system

With the this setup I get 32+5 with the DaveC test. I have had no stability issues.
Hope this helps.

I'm in slot 2 also. Are you getting any error messages when PT freezes? Are you running any other apps?
