Default Custom track sorting

Is there a way to store custom track orders?
I spend a lot of time in big sessions sorting my tracks in a, to me, logical way.
I’d like to be able to use the ”Sort Tracks by: Name, Type, Edit/Mix Group or Voice” and be able to go back to one or several stored layouts.
(I do use Folders to organize tracks and Memory Locations to show selections of tracks and I’m also using VCA groups with spill, so I’m aware of those options.)

Do you mean in the Edit/Mix window or on the S3?

For the Edit/Mix window try using Window Configs and Memory Locations for Show/Hide states of specific tracks. However, you cannot change the order in which the track appear. For example Vox 1,2,3,4 etc. cannot be reordered to Vox 2,4,1,3.

On the S3, Layouts are the way to achieve this. Recall any type of track in any order you like on the surface.

This is the kind of thing SoundFlow can do quite well, including custom ordering I would think, but yes, after the learning curve and script design. (The design can be outsourced, realistically).

So, when you say "a lot of time" - I wonder if $15/month + the script design is worth saving that time. Is this time worth that time? How much is time worth depending on how long or how often you have to do this kind of operation?

I recognize onboard solutions are deemed the most clever, but I work with software by lots of vendors and related workflows.
