Default Digi design pro control Connection to Mac
I got my hands on a Digi design pro control i am currently converting to Pro-tools i am new to the program. How can i connect my Macbook pro running Mountain lion 10.7.5 to the pro control and use it as a daw control surface?? Thanks in advance.

Plug an ethernet cable between them.

and if you have Fader Packs and/or Edit unit you need an Ethernet Hub

To go directly to the computer without an ethernet hub you need a crossover ethernet cable. BTW Pro Control will not work in PT11.

And you probably will need to enable it under Setup>Peripherals

I'll assume 9/10 can use it being a unified installer

Yes thats what I thought aswell Craig.

If you do NOT have PTHD you need to make sure that you have the two files ProControl_M.bundle and ProControl.Bundle in the Digidesign Controllers folder. PT won't find the Pro Control without these files.

ProTools LE does not come standard with these two files. You must obtain them from someone who has an PT TDM rig. If you know someone that has a PT TDM rig, ask them to make a copy of the two files and send them to you.

Pro Control works with either version of PT10. Single installer for both versions so the controller files are always installed. Don't know about 9.
