Default Phase inverted on mixer need opinion!

Hi I´ve got an old studiomaster mixer with nice sounding pre´s but i just relised that the mic inputs have their phases inverted compared to my other individual mic pre´s the ground is 1, hot 3, cold 2!Should I make seperate cabling for these inputs or it doesn´t make any differance?

No sweat.

Mics and cables and mic pres are often enough switched. So simply invert the signal when it makes a difference (ears are good at hearing this).

Gunnar.

It's gonna come out the same way, so unless you're deriving some other output that is either unbalanced or rewired to pin 2 hot, you have nothing to worry about.

Thanks for the replies but what if im using the mixer and other pre´s at the same time? Should I invert the phase of the pre´s to match the mixer or not?

first of all...Hi everyone Ive been off this board for 18 months...Ill post a proper hello later!

As to the phasing issue. In simple terms, as long as you never stereo mike using one mic in each device you shouldnt have a problem. To be safe use the 3 to 1 rule..keep the distance from a mic on one preamp at least three times the distance from one on the other.
