I'm running M-Powered 8 with Windows Vista, using an M-Audio Profire 2626 interface, and the Command 8 to control ProTools. I recently purchased an FMR RNC for post-tracking compression during mixdown. My question is, to what and how do I connect the compressor so that it is available for adding compression to any track at anytime? Thanks in advance.

It sounds to me like you should wire yourself up a patchbay for your external hardware.

Come with an additional set of outs into the compressor or a patch bay. Send the input signal into a set of inputs on your Maudio or your patch pay. Set up an aux track in your session and assign the in/outs accordingly. viola.
