Default PT 11.3 not installing

I downloaded 11.3 installer and attempting 3 times with no success.

The installer runs as it should, but after restart there is no sign of the application on my system.

I tried uninstalling and deleting my previous versions and yet still 11.3 does not appear after installation.

Anybody have this issue?

Any ideas?
thanks

I installed the 10.3 Drivers first ... not sure if that helps. No issues here - 10.3 running on Yosemite 10.10.01 ...

Avid changed the installer routine and it's not a drag and drop after expanding the download anymore (at least on Macs). It's the old double click the installer routine after expansion. Have you looked in your Applications folder?

We really need your system info to help more.

You did download the correct installer for your operating system right?

I believe that's just a temporary quick fix solution to get 11.3.0 out of the door this year. Next update will likely be drag-n-drop again.

Actually the change in installers doesn't bother me, although I can see some getting confused when they got used to the drag and drop and knew nothing else from a PT installer.

Here is what I found on this:

PRO TOOLS 11.3 RETURNS TO OLD STYLE INSTALLER ON MAC

Mac users may recall that since launch of Pro Tools 11 for Mac that to install Pro Tools 11 it was simply a case of unarchiving and then dragging the Pro Tools 11 application into the Applications folder.

It appeats that with Pro Tools 11.3 Avid have now reinstated a full installation procedure.

It’s not known why this is the case but it may be that Avid have been working on improving their installers to deal with possible issues caused by remnants of earlier installations being left behind.

Some users have also noted that on first launch Pro Tools is running a new PACE licence installer procedure. PACE is the software that contains the copy protection as part of iLOK. This software periodically updated by PACE.

Please do post any issues or other observations you have if you install Pro Tools 11.3

I too noticed the Pace installer which I thought was kind of strange. Has anybody checked if the one in the 11.3 installer is different in some way than the 'official' one from iLok.com?

Did open the iLok Manager after the install and all looks normal. This was the easiest PT install yet.

When we ran the new installer on our Mac computers.

On both Yosemite and 10.8.5 the Pace window was showing halfway done when PT opened and then just disapeared without any completion message. However the installs went well and all is working on all 4 Macs.

Noticed that on the new trashcan PT is really a lot faster and all the commands seem to execute much faster now
