Please tell me how to make this work on the .002.

I had No problem with the .001.

I cannot get it to work. There is NO S/PDIF in the output I/O like 7-8 used to be with .001.

Help!!!

The 002 will output S/PDIF at up to 96k, on the rca or the optical.

Go into I/O setup, and set up default paths.
And take a look at the manual.

to assign io to spdif in protools mode, goto your io setup dialog; remember to set the CLock source in the Hardware Setup.
to do it in standalone, press "standalone", then press "utility", then press the "sel" button under the strip labeled 'Pref'. now press the "sel" button under the strip labeled 'SPDF'. then select between optical and RCA settings. as far as sample rate, see page 38 of your manual which says that "the optical i/o ports support sample rates of upt 48 kHz in ADAT Optical Mode, and sample rates of up to 96 kHz in Optical S/PDIF mode. All ports on the 002 support up to 24-bit resolution."
what are you connecting to the spdif ports?

Hello--My setup is a Command/8 in to a .002 RACK and 6.7. I could not find a description of S/PDIF OUTPUT settings in the manual index. Thanx for the ideas.

The clock source will only stay at internal. Did you mean change this to S/PDIF? PTLE won't let me go to anytings but internal??

Forgive me, My initial post did not specify .002-Rack.

How do I set up PTLE 6.7 to output the master to S/PDIF? Right nnow, I can not get any signal out of the S/PDIF--Optical, or RCA. If someo ne has an opinion on RCA vs. Opt please tell me.

I really thank you guys for helping me, I just got the .002, and I record all the tracks, in to my (Hamtone.com) tube pre-in to my new Rosetta 200 in to the .002 S/PDIF at 96k. I want to come out of the .002 S/PDIF back to the Rosetta which now has SRC and Coda/UV22 to drop down to 44.1/16 in to my stand alone CD burner or 24 for DVD...No Bouncing until I go to .mp3 later.

Any hints on how to set the ROSETTA 200 to do this, is greatly apprieciated.

Check out the Hamptone Pre. You can wire it yoursel and save $$.
