Default 12.8.3 - Incoming

Just noticed all the stock plugins have an upped version number to 12.83134

I'm guessing before Christmas - as the last release for 2017. Hopefully we can see some stability, 12.8x has been rock solid until .2

Interesting. I'm secretly hoping for some unintended/unsupported backward compatibility with Yosemite.

(Crosses fingers/does not hold breath)

Must be a Mac thing, I can't see the version number anywhere on my Windows machine.

Plus one! too, no reason why not!

12.8.1 is working well with my CPU upgraded 2010 MacPro with my 18k Avid card based hardware on Yosemite.

Need to update from this, or the support plan has come to an end for me, and I'll except it.. and just give up!

I just use it like a tape machine with my SSL console, so most things don't bother me! (too much)

Avid, getting bored of buying expensive HD hardware and feeling left behind!

PluginUpdate is a great free software tool that I wish would be taken up by someone as it's a quick way to see if your plugins are up to date.

There are numerous Avid plugins showing version 12.83134, and even Signal Generator is showing a 12.9 version.

I'm on the other side, and hope that Avid doesn't add support for Yosemite - that OS was released 3 years ago, and the more time Avid spends on adding code for compatibility for an OS that's 4 generations old, the less time they're working on compatibility with Sierra and High Sierra, fixing issues, and adding new functionality. Coding resources aren't infinite - something has to give for Avid to move forward.

oh shirt, it look just fine on Tapatalk, here's the thing from the App Man:
"New version fixes a note truncation issue on Mac and a directory bug on Win"
The second note is gone after update. Fixed my first post
