Default Gutters?

What are gutters? And how did they get into my session?

I've heard of this before.

Usually it happen in dry arid locations where it doesn't rain much. and then you forget to clean out your gutters. Then when it finally does rain and you've left your windows open the gutters can leak into your studio room and get your session wet.

I believe that "gutter" refers to "playlist"

Or perhaps automation lanes? Like gutters between the audio bowling alleys?

Edit: Woah, simultaneous post... Is that automation?

The Pro Tools 12.7 Release Note KB mentions this in relation to blank Playlists.
  • Fixed an issue where dragging a clip from Workspace or Finder/Explorer to the blank (gutter) playlist in Playlist view would incorrectly create a playlist named "gutter” (PT-221784)
  • Fixed an issue where dragging a clip to the blank (gutter) playlist in Playlist view would create a new playlist with no unique ID (PT-221587)
  • Fixed an issue where grouped clips could get out of sync when dragged to blank (gutter) playlists in Playlist view (PT-221012)
Were you running an older version at some point? Any steps you are aware of that makes this happen with your current version?

Not on this computer no. I bought this Mac two months ago and installed the current version of PT.

I have imported some audio files using the import function but thats it.

Although I did install Logic this week. Maybe that has something to do with it?

In any case, it does look like additional Playlists and you should be able to rename it/them to match the audio.
