Hooking up an AV for 7.1 surround........

After reading all the helpful posts on this forun (and I must congratulate everyone here for their helpfulness and the moderators for their professionalism) i decided to buy the Digi 001 package.

I installed it last night into my rig (specs at bottom of this post), but I have one question on intergrating my sound card into it.

I run a sound Blaster Audigy Plat EX, which comes with its own MIDI input/output and a whole array of other connections. I then route my audio out to my Home Theatre AV, an Onkyo 989 7.1 AMP which I can use to modify play back in DTS, DD, THX and so forth.

My questions is, can I line out from my digi 001 card into my SB card which then feeds into my AV (current setup), or is my only option to use the the Monitor Outputs/Main Outputs via RCA connection to my AV? .. (I prefer to utilise my AV insteed of just using stand alone Monitors)

Another option I was think of, was using the Optical output from the 001 card to the Optical input on the SB.. but i think that is only for recording purposes...

Any thoughts or ideas, or anyone out there with a set up like this that could comment would be greatly appreciated.

Running Win XP Prof (for LAN capabilities, had no problems supporting Pro Tools 5.3.1 )
