pt7.1cs2 and Sony dynamics ilok not found ER 7058

Hi,

After installing 7.1cs2 i am getting the message sony dynamics ilok auth not found DAE error 7048.

It looks like it will load ok once you are in the session and i think and hope it is keeping the settings!!

I haven't got time to investigate as i'm just starting a session!

if it means anything, i occasionally get this with pt 6.9.1cs3, hd|2, os 10.3.8. it happens either when i launch the session, or if i disable the plug-in (cntl-cmd-click). only the sony plugs. i either get the error you get, or the "authorize via ilok" dialogue box comes on. must be something in the sony plug code that loses communication with the ilok auth. i haven't been scientific about when it happens, becasue it is, as i said, occasional.

I have been experiencing similar behaviour from the Sony EQ ilok auth for a long time -- only happens occasionally (maybe once a week) and simply hitting cancel, then manually activating the plugs brings them up no problem.

This was happening with PT6.7x, 6.9x and 7.0; with old ilok auth and new sony iLok auth.

Session would load just fine, Sony "no ilok" error, cancel -- plugin would load inactive... I'd activate the sony plugs, and eberything would be perfect until it happened again.

ONLY Sony EQ iLok auth -- I've never experienced this with any other plugin.

Can't seem to troubleshoot, since if I'm opening a session, I want to work on it... not waste time troubleshooting.

What does Sony do differently than every other plugin vendor when checking for an iLok auth? Sony? Re-inventing the wheel here?

I never used to see this, but since upgrading to the PT7 versions of the Sony plug-ins this has happened to me a couple of times in 6.9.1cs3.
